What Do You Put in Your Pockets?

It amazes when see woman walking around with their phones sticking out of their back pocket.

Which is funny as I don't think I have EVER seen a boy carry their phone in their back pocket - only girls.

I wonder why that is.

I think it is because they tend to wear pants that are tighter so the front pocket is not an option.

This setup has been the same for 20 years for me now:

  • front left: always a phone
  • front right: wallet.  it might not look the best, but it is safe and practical.  i never liked sitting on my wallet, not because of damaging the wallet, but because you sit all crooked like
  • rear left: nothing or change or paperwork
  • rear right: keys

many of my travel tech pants have a special phone pocket on the rear right, above the normal pocket, it is better for phones then regular pocket, since it is higher up to the waist that you don't sit on it, but even then, i feel like i will damage the phone if I sit in a car like that - and even in normal chairs, I don't like to put extra pressure on the phone.  makes no sense to me, and i have seen people damage phones like that

My phone is in an empty wallet holder thing.

I phoned the emergency services from my pocket once and I don't want that to happen again.

EDIT: Rest are keys, wallet and a small multi-tool.

All of which are in front pockets. I may have at most a few spare coins in a back pocket but nothing else. I don't like the idea of sitting on stuff.

Are you not concerned about the wallet getting lifted when it's in the rear?

No.  My slacks have a flap with a button or Velcro.

When I wear jeans, I slide the wallet in sideways, makes it harder to steal.

Right Front - keys

Left Front - spare cash, receipts

Left Rear - wallet

Right Rear - phone

I live in a very rural area and pretty much know everyone in every store I go in so Im not worried about someone lifting my phone or wallet.

Am I the only person who puts his phone in his back right pocket?

Aren't you afraid of breaking your phone? And for those who put the wallet in the back, it's not good long term for back pain & easier target for pick pocket.

My butt is soft enough to provide proper cushioning, I remove it when I sit down. It's the only place where I don't really feel it. And I live in a small town, no pick pockets here.

Who would be stupid enough to try and steal a dino's wallet? :D

    • How backwards can you have it? Yes, Linux was gaining because of Linux handhelds and the push for gaming compatibility, but that's not desktop users, it barely converts anyone who owns a SteamDeck, though it helps for those who wanted to do it, but anyways, the AI+RAM debacle helped Linux because people can't easily upgrade their PCs easily and many hate AI so they'd be incentivized to try Linux.
    • 🤦🏻‍♂️ No, expected because 10 EOL
    • Dude, it's a .reg away from a permanent modification. If you're a power user, look it up and keep the .reg and stop being a crybaby expecting MS to include customization for everything on a generalist OS. The default is what's the best UX for the majority of the userbase, non techie people.
