Can Windows Media Encoder 9 series be uninstalled?

Recommended Posts

can Windows Media Encoder 9 series be uninstalled, or is it like DirectX, where it is a sytem component? system component, as in it will require me to reinstall Windows to get rid of it.

the only reason why i want to install this is so i can use PCMark04. do you think it can increase game (DX 8 and 9) performances?

Windows 98 Second Edition or Windows 2000    In Control Panel, click Add/Remove Programs, and then click Windows Media Player. Windows Media Player 9 Series will be removed.

For more information about adding or removing programs, see Windows Help.
