Mapping Fn keys on trackball mouse through script

Hello,

 

I'm having issues mapping Fn keys on my Elcom HUGE trackball. I ran a script that supposedly would map these Fn buttons but judging by my results I don't think I got anywhere. I like to be able for instance map a snipping tool function so I can clip screen shots on the fly.

I am not familiar with doing this myself, but from looking at https://github.com/Aztek1337/Elecom_trackball_huge_button_map, the author has updated the package this year and they do provide their email address, so perhaps reaching out that way, or contacting them via any of the social media accounts listed on https://angel-alvarez.dev/ would be a way to receive assistance?
