Walmart Gateway Laptop 1 year later Update

Recommended Posts

Well as you all know, last year I bought a Gateway Intel laptop from Walmart with 16GB DDR4, 256GB SSD, Intel 10th Gen 3.5 GHz CPU, 1080p IPS display, which is absolutely stunning, for the ridiculous price of $399.00.

Some people here burned it down by saying it was crap because it wasn't made by Gateway but by a company called EVOO, which is licenced by Acer to make the Gateway brand laptops. Well, it's been 1 year already and I have no complaints about this machine. I have been using it every single day, for hours at a time, and this thing has not given me a single glitch. It works flawlessly. I installed Zorin OS on it and it runs like a dream so the hardware is not garbage like some people thought. It doesn't even get hot. A great laptop. Well built and dependable. Never judge a book by its cover.

They really are a great price. On the bottom of yours does it have a removable cover for an NVME drive?

Yes it does. I can add an extra SSD or even replace the one inside.

Is that nvme cover on the bottom only for adding a 2nd one or can you get to the primary from the cover to without taking the bottom off?

The primary one is replaceable but its pain to do it. Yes you have to remove the bottom cover, which can be removed.
