Bruinator
Hi, I have the following laptop https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09B1DLRRS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I have had it for 5 months and it has a total of 130GB of OS / programs...etc on it. I am using acronis true image 2021. On my 7 year old asus laptop with a slower CPU, with 12GB less RAM, it use to take me roughly 40 minutes to image. On the newer laptop, it is going on 2 hours with roughly 1/3 more to go. Why would this be happening? TIA
jnelsoninjax
Not for sure, but the SSD/NVME may be faster in your older system.

goretsky Supervisor Posted March 12, 2022 Supervisor Share Posted March 12, 2022 Hello, Perhaps the USB or network connection over which the imaging occurs is slower on the new Lenovo laptop than on the older Asus laptop? +Warwagon MVC Posted March 12, 2022 MVC Share Posted March 12, 2022 Can't speak for 2021 .. but on 2016 130gb would image in about 40 mins like you said. I have things hooked up to an older desktop over sata, it would probably also depend how many files are on the drive. Bruinator 1 Share
Bruinator
It was a dongle that was causing it as I needed my 2 open usb ports for acronis and external ssd. I got it down to around an hour.
