Saw this last night. Was better than I expected.

I thought it was just OK. The acting was good, but it didn't feel like it really went anywhere. <Shrug>

Seems like it might be a case of using the word "spider" in the title, just to make a few people think it has something to do with Spider-Man. (A common tactic in decades past especially, to sell more theater tickets.)

Based upon a book from 2010 (Escape from Spiderhead) where the name (Spiderhead) is the name of the experimental lab due to it's layout.

 

Acting was OK at best, the outcome was utterly predictable, it was quite nicely directed (visually) but I enjoyed the soundtrack.
