How do I disable Gmail security alerts each time I log in an account

I have two gmail accounts, and 99% of the time simply use Thunderbird to access the messages, but there are times I need to login to the web based interface to mark a message as SPAM, etc. Each time I do that to one of my accounts, as soon as I login Google sends an email to both my accounts saying that someone logged into the account from X location. I looked through the settings and did not see anything relating to that, is there any method for disabling it?

I don't think you can do this unless you have like google workspace or something and your the admin.

 

But to be honest, prob a bad idea to do so.  I could see if it was like an email every hour or something.  But if your getting an email every time you access the web interface every now and then because you don't normally use the web interface.  Wouldn't you want to know is someone attempted or did access your account via web if wasn't you.

You can't.  You could maybe set up a rule to filter them, but... they exist for a reason.

Not sure why you are getting it every time you log into the web interface, even though it's infrequent. Are you clearing your cookies regularly? Are you signing out when you are finished? I get notifications too, but usually only when signing in for the first time.

 

If you are clearing your cookies frequently, that would case it I would think.

It might be that I use a private window, so I don't have to log out my other account. Perhaps that is the reason?

Honestly, I only use that account for junk mailings anyway, my cell phone is tied to a different account.

LOL ... Uh... ya a private window (porn mode) would definitely cause that. As it stores no cookies.

Hello,

Try using a different web browser so you do not have to run your primary one in incognito mode.  Also, if you are using a VPN, disable it before connecting to Google, or create an exclusion in that VPN (if possible) to allow the different web browser to connect through your native network connection.
