Technique
I'll put the PC to sleep if I know I'm going to be away from it for a while. Sometimes it stays asleep, other times it wakes up. It may wake up within minutes or much later. There's no real consistency that I've found. The very first time it did it, I Googled how to find out what's waking it & followed the instruction: That was the last time anything came up for -waketimers. It's happened a few times since & I always get this result: So errr, yeah... * Why does it only some times do it? * How do I get it to stay asleep once it's sent to sleep? eddman
Disable wake timers and wake-on-lan: https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/63070-enable-disable-wake-timers-windows-10-a.html Option one recommended. https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/175328-how-enable-disable-wake-lan-wol-windows-10-a.html Option two is more convenient. If step 6 is available, you don't have to do steps 1, 2 and 5. If it's not, do step 5.
