I am happy to at least have lived in the 80's when Quality Street tins were bigger than my head,

now it is just...

It's not only smaller now, also feels like chewing playdoh once you bite into it

I remember the 90's tins!

Anyone noticed Yorkie Bars have got so much smaller over the years?

According to Wikipedia they have gradually been reducing the weight of them, so it's not just in my head:

  • 2002: 70g
  • 2010: 64.5g
  • 2011 (Start): 61g
  • 2011 (Fall): 55g
  • 2014: 46g

Wow :(

It is like snickers and mars bars, they feel like snack size (the little ones) rather than full sized bars nowadays.

Happened to a lot of snacks(and foods in general). At one point those big companies noticed that if you keep price the same but reduce the size, people react better compared to keeping the size, but increasing price.

Same with Dairy Milk. Gone are the days of a good chunk of chocolate, they're more like the size of a Fredo bar now.
