Asus Z790 mobo + DDR5 memory boot loop

Recommended Posts

Hi, is there any solution from Asus on their mobo with Z790 chipset when install DDR5 modules and enabling XMP profile? Have Asus already solve this issue or it still goes to boot loop? I'm also looking for detailed information about BIOS and Intel ME updates. On the official web I found only this: "Improve system performance". Where can I find more info about BIOS and Intel ME updates? Thanks for help.

Thanks, I read the topic already, I was asking if ASUS already fix this problem. Or it means that this is not the problem of memory or motherboard, but it's only some wrong installation of ram modules, or maybe someone don't wait for the training process? In this video:

it seams to be a problem when XMP profile is activated (for 4 RAM modules - don't know if this happens also when only 2 RAM modules are used).

And it would be helpful to know site where can I found detailed information about BIOS or Intel ME updates - is there any?

Thanks

I have the same issue, and Asus recently released a new bios, which allowed me to enable XMP for my DDR5 ram, but windows was very glitchy, and got regular GSOD's... they are getting better, but it is not quite there yet! I check for bios updates every few days now... Keep checking the support link for your particular board.

Only way to know that is to contact Asus and Intel and request for more information.

Crucial says it can take up to 15mins for training to complete, but there isn't anything about boot looping https://www.crucial.com/support/articles-faq-memory/ddr5-memory-training

Have you tried running at slightly lower speeds?
