GriLLo Posted February 19, 2004 Share Posted February 19, 2004 Hi all, Just bought and assembled my new machine ASUS A7N8X - deluxe AMD Athlon 2600+ 770 MB RAM GEFORCE FX5200 128MB RAM 80 GB Maxtor 40 GB Maxtor DVD CD+R Combo Ok pretty nice machine, mount it, power it up, BEEP, something at the earphones ( didn't hear )first thing I notice, my primary HD ( 40gb ), is not reconized, go to BIOS, nothing there, see stuff around, boot, poweroff at boot, disassemble hds cables, reassamble them, power up, NO VIDEO, NO BEEP, just HD's spinning, coolers spinning, nothing on the phones... try to take hd's off clear bios ( took the batterie off the mainboard, wait a little put it back ), jumper clear the cmos, nothing... PseudoRandomDragon Posted February 19, 2004 Share Posted February 19, 2004 Make sure the drive is connected and the jumper settings are right. Then reboot the computer.
