Scratch (drag'n'drop kids programming tool)

Question

Has anyone here got any experience with Scratch?

My niece (7) has been introduced to it via her schoolteacher and as such, she's turned to me for assistance with it - not so much "help" but more "Hey uncle Dick Montage, you do programming, wanna do this with me" (which as a doting uncle has pleased me hugely, as she has also used my stupid pseudonym).

If so, would it be worth us having a little place here to drop the silly little games and tools we have created?

Lots of sites you can post your stuff.

I know, but I am an active member of THIS tech community.

Plus its not really a kids tool.

From their own website: Scratch is the world’s largest coding community for children and a coding language with a simple visual interface that allows young people to create digital stories, games, and animations.

Thanks for the post but it's not really what I was asking.

I am sure there are some kids out there that would love to play with these.

I tried to get my daughter involved with programming when she was young. It didn't take.

Oh that sucks.  I guess horses for courses and so on.  Thus far it's mostly been me showing my niece how to do stuff, but hopefully she can take a lead soon :)
