heh no idea never heard of MyIE until i started this thread hehe, would be good to hear some more bout MyIE tho =)

Myie description:

myIE is an Internet Explorer based web browser that adds a lot of new features as well as a fresh new look to your standard Internet Explorer browser interface. Among the added features are a tabbed interface that allows you to quickly switch between web pages and create groups of pages that you can launch with a single click. In addition, it offers several privacy features like cookie and history cleanup as well as an option to delete the typed address bar URLs (either all or only selected). There are many other features, most of them small, but very handy. For example, it includes an option to organize your favorites, mark certain ones as "most favorite" and then access those with a single click. You can also specify URL aliases, allowing you for example to type "WA" instead of webattack.com, or "news" to visit your favorite news site etc. Furthermore, you'll find a pop-up filter, an option to display your modem speed, local IP address, a tiny text collector as well as a feature to include external tools and more. The interface is very clean and uses XP style icons. Now that you've heard about all the features, you'll be surprised that this little app is less than 300k in size, does not require an install and doesn't mess with your existing browser settings.

i think he was just kidding..

hahahahaha toxikk..

how about you give me some good reasons why ie blows.. ill tell you why mozilla blows

1) Its slower than IE (ive tested it, ive tested 1.0)

2) It uses much more ram than IE

3) It uses much more CPU than IE

4) It takes forever to open new windows, and a popup hell can bring your computer to its knees in mozilla.

5) It cant display MANY sites correctly (hell, it cant even display parts of excite)

Now.. tell me why IE blows please

thats y, it use more RAM. not CPU

I don't see any problem like he mentioned above.

Working properly here.

=> Remember I just start using it 2day !!!

This is just another of those loaded questions... although it's been pretty calm compared to some others on the topic.

I use IE and Opera. IE because it just works and is there when I need it. Opera because it has some really nice features, such as being able to switch between User and Author mode (great for use web developers creating CSS pages). I tried using Mozilla a few times, but I've found that Opera does almost everything it does, and does it better.

    • I just started using Teams (and “New” Oiutlook) at work (instead of Slack) and both are truly abysmal pieces of software.
    • If you are willing to go to approx $200, then as mentioned in your other thread I think a refurbished Pixel 8 will be a great deal that will last you for years. I recently recommended that to someone at work, he was on a strict £200 budget, which got him an excellent conditioned refurbished Pixel 8 here. He's since told me its the best phone he's ever had and feels its a massive upgrade over his old Samsung A series device. I don't know the sites which deal in refurbished devices in the US, however I’m sure you will have some options like we do here. Failing that Ebay is also quite good in my experience. If you wanted something a bit cheaper, then you could maybe go for an older Pixel 7, these will still get security updates until the end of 2027. Even after that you have good third party OS support from LineageOS. It doesn't have to be a Pixel though, you can buy many older devices for a good deal that would be better than a new $100 phone and flash LineageOS to them: https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/
    • I don't use one drive, but then I don't use any cloud storage, not even Icloud on my mac. If I did use cloud storage, then I would not use One drive, not because there is anything wrong with it, but because I can use Icloud. The only reason I see to use one drive is if your job requires you to have access to it
    • Not built in, which is not a bad thing. There are ways of adding cloud storage to it, Dropbox is the most well know that also have a client for Linux, but there are others.
