netshell.dll = 5.1.2600.1106

shimgvw.dll = 6.0.2800.1106

The netshell is from a freshly formated and updated box, and the shimgvw is from my box now, which I'm pretty sure is untainted, so those should be right. Let me know if I'm wrong. :)

Kinda weird question but hopefully someone knows whats goin on.... I have GANT 2 shell pack version 1.1 on my comp (great work Devil) but when i go to update, usually there is an update or 2 there, but there seems to 0 in every category, just wondering if this happened to anyone else.... thanks....peace

ps. cant wait for another update!!

INFERNO2k - the run icon in the start panel n in the window too is perfectly fine here. replacing the files again should solve the problem. do let me know if it does solver ur problem.

thanx blay, someone posted at the back that 1106 is an old version and that the latest is 1181 for sp1. although he cud have been using ATXP or somthing. if anyone has a problem with netshell.dll or its version let me know now or netshell.dll will remain 1106 in the pack.

guys if u find anymore bugs or wud like something to be in the update let me know now, coz most likely there wont be a 1.3. if there will be a 1.3 it wont be soon at all.

Why not use the updated dlls from the APXP..theres no harm in using the lastest files is there..

I have a feeling alot of people here use APXP and therefore would benefit those who uses the program which is widely available on these forums....how about it...>??

Your work is very much appreciated and we wouldn't want your work to die off..Keep it live...

If you need any help why not get someone to help..Im sure there are plenty of ppl who wouldn't mind helping you out...

ok dont know wats wrong with JUPA.com but the pics i upload dont work anyone know were else i could store them... with that out of the way i found another glitch thingy for some reason the arrow that goes in the bottem right hand corner of all the shortcuts is blocky as some of the other icons were before the update. not sure if this was brought up but if not heres a first :p

armada - wooo.. i didnt even know that my shell pack even changes icons in such tiny places lol. I dont know which file holds that icon but Ill try to look for it though.

jnr_subz33 - ATXP keeps getting updated every month. I cant keep updating the pack every now n then. good idea but im in no mood to redo the whole shell pack. anywys sp2 will be coming out soon. so we'll see then.

people having problems with wmplayer.exe saying thay it wouldnt launch n stuff, add me on msn so i can work on it.

and hurry coz i wanna release the update fast.

Cerpin Taxt - r u using ATXP??

try replacing the shell32 again.

try to rebuild ur cache with another program.

its even possible that the gant 2 shell32.dll has gone bad n the icons r not showing up.

do one thing. right click on any folder, click properties > customize tab > change icon. tell me if u see gant icons when u click change icons. ( not just the default gant icon but all gant icons)

anyone here with shell32 version 1242 apply this pack??

i forget off hand which dll all the internet explorer avis are and just little icons in iE, but i think that those dlls are a different version because i was asked to do an service pack 1 update to iE, and it changed all that, so just lettin ya know about that stuff, before you put the update out

babis there are few different versions between urs n mine :

hddwiz.cpl ----- mine - 5.1.2600.0 ---------------- yours - 5.1.2600.1125 -------- mine - old

comctl32.dll --- mine - 6.0.2600.0 -----------------yours - 5.82.2800.1106 ------- mine - new

mshtml.dll ----- mine - 6.0.2800.1106 -------------yours - 6.0.2800.1400 -------- mine - old

msoeres.dll ---- mine - 6.0.2800.1106 -------------yours - 6.0.2800.1123 ------- mine - old

netshell.dll ----- mine - 5.1.2600.1106 -------------yours - 5.1.2600.1181 ------- mine - old

shdocvw.dll ---- mine - 6.0.2800.1276 ------------ yours - 6.0.2800.1400 -------- mine - old

explorer.exe --- mine - 6.0.2800.1221-------------yours - 6.0.2800.1106 ------- mine - new

armada posted some file versions which match with mine :

mshtml.dll - 6.0.2800.1106

shdocvw.dll - 6.0.2800.1276

iexplore.exe - 6.0.2800.1106

windows is weird lol. gives some people old verisons n some people new of some files.

I think that everyones file versions can never completely match with each other. some people have new versions of some files n some people have old verisons of some other files. well no probs. send me the files of which i have old versions to [email protected] or if u can put it up anywhere, let me know. I just hope the people having old versions of some files arent made to go back to the old versions by windows update after applying the pack.

Update will be ready by tomm.

Changes in 1.2

------------------

Updated these files with newer versions :

hddwiz.cpl

Imagedrive.cpl

mshtml.dll

msoeres.dll

netshell.dll

shdocvw.dll

Smudgy icons fixed :

multiple properties icon (was fine in V.1. forgot abt it in V.1.1 when I updated shell32.dll)

advanced properties icon

shortcut icon

'move read-only file' dialog icon

Added shimgvw.dll. So we now have G.A.N.T. 2 file type icons.

Added a differnt wmplayer.exe so people having problems with the wmplayer.exe previously can use the other one now.

Changed open folder icon.

@ЀṾ ?? ???g?燎

Could you please list all of the files that are included in the pack....I have just completed a full reformat with sp1 install and with all updates also...

This way i could also compare my files to your files...

Thanks man..can't wait for the next update....

    • Microsoft adds reusable skills and finance data connectors to Copilot in Excel by Karthik Mudaliar Microsoft is giving Copilot in Excel a collection of new features aimed squarely at finance teams. The update introduces reusable instructions for common tasks, connections to services such as FactSet and Morningstar, and a better way to review what Copilot intends to do before it starts changing a workbook. The most interesting addition is 'Skills' finally coming to Copilot in Excel. Skills let companies teach Copilot how to handle a recurring process, so employees do not need to write the same detailed prompt every month. Users can create skills that can specify the steps Copilot should follow, along with the required layout, formulas, and formatting. Microsoft says users can create their own skills by saving a SKILL.md file in OneDrive. The file is written using Markdown and tells Copilot when and how to perform the task. Once it is available, a user can select the skill in the Copilot pane or mention it in a prompt using the @ symbol. There is also a library of prebuilt finance skills for customers who do not want to create their own. Microsoft plans to let developers distribute additional skills through the Microsoft Marketplace and the Microsoft 365 Admin Center, with LSEG, Ramp, Rogo, samaya.ai, Velixo, and Vena among the first partners involved. The company says that it is also expanding the external data that Copilot can access from inside Excel. New connectors are being added for CB Insights, Daloopa, FactSet, Morningstar, PitchBook, and S&P Global data through technology developed by Kensho. There is a catch, however. Accessing these services may require a separate subscription from the relevant data provider, so a Microsoft 365 Copilot licence will not necessarily unlock all of them. FactSet is also only available in preview for now, with general availability planned for July. Microsoft is also trying to make Copilot’s workbook edits easier to inspect. Users can switch to a planning mode that shows which sheets, cell ranges, formulas, and assumptions Copilot intends to work with before it begins making changes. Once the work is complete, the Show Changes pane can distinguish edits made by Copilot from those made by human collaborators. The update continues Microsoft’s push to turn Excel Copilot from a chatbot into an agent that can carry out longer tasks. The company previously added an Agent Mode capable of planning and completing multi-step Excel work. Microsoft also recently acquired financial AI startup Fintool, another indication that finance is becoming a key target for its Excel AI strategy. Prebuilt skills, personalization, workbook rules, external connectors, planning mode, and Copilot attribution in Show Changes are generally available to Microsoft 365 Copilot customers using Excel on the web, Windows, and macOS. Custom skills are initially available to Microsoft 365 Insiders on Windows and Mac starting today. Microsoft plans to make them generally available across Windows, Mac, and the web over the next month. Partner-built skills are expected during the third quarter of the year. Availability may still differ depending on region and licensing.
    • Exactly. They serve different (although related) purposes.
    • Do not enter the code under any circumstances, or you will be sorry. It's definitely and most likely a hacking attempt.  That happened to me a couple of years ago, and I kept receiving those prompts for months. It's simply the attacker trying to get you tired of the constant requests, so you just give up and enter the code, so they can log in to your account.
