Microsoft Flight Sim - Low Quality Buildings

Recommended Posts

A few moths ago I had a miniPC with a Radeon RX6600M onboard, and the quality of the graphics in MSFS blew me away.  But that PC died...

I've just built up a new PC with a Radeon RX6700XT and I am less than impressed...

I live in a very distinctive building and on the miniPC it looked like my building.  On my new PC it literally is a 3d model of absolutely not my building... Not like a low-res version, it's 100% not my building at all...

Am I missing something?

If I can clarify a little - the building (and many buildings) that are where mine should be - thy just look like auto-generated “random buildings”.

According to AMD the Radeon RX6700 XT has about 3 times the graphics horsepower, 50% more vram and twice the TDP of the Radeon RX 6600M

If anything the graphics should be much better with the new card.

A few things to check ...

1. Make sure the game isn't using whatever integrated graphics card you might have ... Intel Integrated or AMD Vega

2.  Haven't played Flight Simulator but there may be a setting in-game for more highly detailed buildings.  Try "Max Graphics" or "Ultra High settings"
