What is APCI Mode? Please tell me!

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, what does APCI Mode do exactly? It's in my bios. I've searched the internet but I couldn't find what it does exactly, maybe one of you know? I would really like to know what this does, so I can disable it if I don't need it.

Advanced Configuration and Power Interface

ACPI establishes industry-standard interfaces for OS-directed configuration and power management on laptops, desktops, and servers.

ACPI evolves the existing collection of power management BIOS code, Advanced Power Management (APM) application programming interfaces (APIs, PNPBIOS APIs, Multiprocessor Specification (MPS) tables and so on into a well-defined power management and configuration interface specification.

I don't really need this right guys?

Don't really need your CDROM either but it's sure NICE to have. Anything to do with industry standardization and stuff I wouldn't recommending fiddling with it unless you know how to fix it if it implodes your system...
