Duplicate file finder that works on a NAS

I tried DupeGuru and  Auslogicfile finder, and DupeGuru saw the NAS and even let me navigate to the directory I was wanting to search, but it would not let me proceed past that point (there are multiple directories inside of where I want to search) so that is a deal breaker, Auslogic could not even see the NAS, so I need a duplicate file finder that can search the NAS.

So here is one I created with the help of chat GPT. It doesn't delete anything but it does search subdirectories

I've used it a bunch before.

I Purposely created some duplicates to show you how results show up.

The reason I have hash files below 10 megs is because large files over a the network take FOREVER to hash. Plus there was one such content were there were 20 some videos and they oddly ALL had the same size to the byte. They were below 10 megs and they didn't fool hash check.

Currently trying it on a network share folder full of 14,000 in 500+ sub folders .... it's pretty slow at that.

I guess i'll give the disclaimer, use at your own risk.

Thanks! The size shouldn't be an issue as most of what I am trying to find duplicates of are eBooks. Is there any chance you could work in the ability to delete files as well?

Try Anti-Twin  it worked for me and it's freeware.  I used it to delete duplicate video and pictures on my NAS.  

From the website:

 

Anti-Twin is a small software application which compares files, i.e. it searches for duplicate or similar files on your hard disk drive. All similar or identical files that were found can either be sent to the recycle bin or directly deleted. This will increase the hard disk space on your computer.

Select the option “Compare file content” to compare the entire binary content of the files. This means that the file names are irrelevant. Here, the basic principle is: “Names are just smoke and mirrors. It's the inner values that count!”
