+Warwagon MVC Posted April 2 MVC Share Posted April 2 Hi everyone. I'm currently working on a new version of my QBO to CSV to iif converter which you can read about here. Oh good god, why did it have to use that screenshot!? That's not what it looks like! 😂 I left that screenshot in the thread to show how ugly the editor used to look! In the new update I'm re-writing the way it handles CSV files because at the moment unless it's formatted like the ones from my bank, it will not import. So using QBO is your best bet. The new version switched to column mapping. As an example when I Imported a csv from Capital One, it imported blank. Because of the pattern mapping, I could add support for that particular CSV file in just a few minutes. So this is why it would be helpful if people could submit samples of the CSV file their financial institutions provide when exporting data from an account. I do not want any personal Financial information so please edit that out if there is any. Simply copy and paste the headers and two transactions from the CSV file, I would like the top headers and then 2 transactions, a credit, and a debit. Paste it into the code box of this thread. At that point, you can edit any personal information and Justice can make up what you want. Here is an example. Account,ChkRef,Debit,Credit,Balance,Date,Description 5656665,,,43.60,12345.53,8/30/2023,test TRANSFER 1029078536099 (Pending) 5656665,,33.00,,123457.93,8/30/2023,617052 PURCHASE HY-VEE F&F LE MARS 5382 LE MARS IA adsfasdf 3 (Pending) 5656665,,42.82,,12345.93,8/30/2023,225944 PURCHASE WAL-MART 2ee Leee IA 1 324126141002 (Pending) In the example above I changed the account numbers on the left and the account balance next to it as well as the paypal transfer number before posting it. +Warwagon MVC Posted April 2 Author MVC Share Posted April 2 Better yet, just download the Beta version (QuickbooksCSVtoIIF371beta) 3.7.1 has been released, along with the source code.
