Google Chrome/ IMDB Issue

Recommended Posts

Hi all. Is anyone having an issue where suddenly IMDB videos won't even load in Google Chrome. All I'm getting is a black box. I have updated everything and turned off all my add- ons. They are working in both Brave and Firefox.

I reluctantly loaded up terrible Chrome on android and it works fine then tried my go to Vivaldi browser, also no issues there.

If you use incognito/private mode in chrome, will it load?

That works! Thank you. Do you have any ideas on why it's happening?

Sounds like a cache issue.

I tried with Brave and Firefox and everything seems fine, so it's certainly local to your machine.

That, or there is still an extension running causing a muck.

I cleaned the cache. Thanks.

I forgot to check AutoplayStopper. It didn't occur to me as it has never caused issues in all the years I've been using it. For some reason the autoplay exception for IMDB had been turned off. Perhaps it was updated which changed the setting but this didn't happen on our other laptop.

Anyway, it's solved. Thanks to all who responded.

So a local issue rather than general? ;)

@Jumping Jacintaglad you got it sorted. (Y)
