bikeman25
Should i be worried on the drive, if fell over on Carpeted floor as i was getting ready to put it away into its storage area til needed again. its my primary WD MY Book 8TB Backup Drive Should i run any tests on it? i know its gonna take ages if i do run any tests on it with WD Software, probably 3 or more days since its 8TB drive--and have to use Desktop for other tasks, of course i can use Secondary Gaming Laptop for some of the tasks, but not all of them Advice? or am i worried over nothing Edited April 22 by bikeman25
Mindovermaster Moderator Posted April 23 Moderator Share Posted April 23 I would just do a SMART test. And make sure nothing is lost.

hellowalkman Reporter Posted April 23 Reporter Share Posted April 23 Hopefully, the fall wasn't too big and the carpet helped cushion it.
darkrats
I dropped my WD external drive while moving. It fell about three feet and hit the cement sidewalk. I thought I had lost all my data, but after i set up my computer, in the new place, and plugged it in, Behold! Everything was there and the drive has now been in continuous service for over 10 years. Amazing! Mindovermaster and Steven P. 2 Share
