Could still be a really poor IMC but I've never seen one that bad. Stick with the RAM being defective for now and see how you go!

IMC being on the CPU right? I hope that is not the case as replacing the RAM is 100% easier. I started a RMA with Corsair for the ram

It sounds like you've done some thorough troubleshooting already. Since Stick 1 passes in both slots but Stick 2 fails in one, it could indicate an issue with that specific stick. Before pursuing an RMA, you might want to try updating your motherboard BIOS to see if that resolves the issue. Also, double-checking compatibility with your motherboard's QVL is a good step. If the problem persists, reaching out to Corsair support for further assistance or considering an RMA could be the next best course of action.

The New BOIS version (1301) is broken right now as it kept casusing my CPU multipliers to fluctuate erratically, jumping from 55 to 8 on cores 1-9 and from 43 to 8 on cores 10-24.
My ram is listed within my mother QVL for the i9 13900K.

Correct, IMC is the integrated memory controller. Some can be really poor samples not coping with high memory speeds and tight timings. You can play with CPU voltages to help it along a bit but honestly shouldn't be needed at 6000MT/s

Might want to read the whole thread before posting.

Hey, the issue was with the RAM. I RMA'd the RAM kit, and the new set passed memtest86 with on XMP and all settings at default.

Nice glad to see it was fixed! :)

Yep, I should I have just RMAd it from the start.

Also Im new to having a i9 13900K And I noticed it can get pretty hot. While gaming is 50c-65c Pretty normal? My cooler is the Icue Link H170I.  Also My Ram seems to now reach up to 47c-50c while gaming now at 6000 but I take it that is pretty normal with DDR5

Anthor Odd thing Im not sure about is 'Intel Default Settings'. When I turn them on within my motherboard at Extreme (OCCMAX 400A) PC starts up with the CPU reaching around 85c. When I start my PC up with Performance (OCCMAX 307A) it starts at 72c.

When I just leave everything at default and turn on the Asus MultiCore Enhancement to Disabled - Enforce All Limites (OCCMAX 280A) and set IA CEP and SA CEP to enabled my CPU Startup is around 57c

Could the higher the OCCMAX A the higher Temps gets pushed out on startup? I Know my cooler is working good as its a x3 140 radiator fan and made sure the thermal paste was applied right.

Also note this is what I have my FAN speed curve set to

That's normal, man. Most Intel CPUs DO run hotter.

50-70 is completely normal under load. No need to mess with the fan settings.

You're fine.

Most modern high-end Intel CPUs auto overclock to the limit of your thermal solution. If you watch any of the youtuber channels with custom water cooling it's quite normal for a 13900k/14900k to hit 95-100 degrees when running something like Cinebench and then thermally throttle themselves as the CPUs often generate 400W of power!

I updated my CPUs Power to PL1 and PL2 to follow intels defaults and update OCCMAX down to 200

OCCMAX: 200A
PL1: 125W
PL2: 253W

I seem to be getting better temps  but is lowering my OCCMAX down to 200A ok to do?

    • I understand the position Valve is in with hardware pricing thanks to the AI bubble, but as others have said, this is DOA at this price point. There's no world in which a machine at that performance level is worth that price. My girlfriend's a console gamer and after meeting me, wanted to try PC but wanted something she could use on her TV with a controller. The Steam Machine is basically tailor made for her, but only at what it would have cost before the hardware crisis. I took my old Lenovo Legion laptop with a Ryzen 5800H and a 3060 Mobile 8GB, put Bazzite on it and it does the same thing with the games she's interested in very well. She still likes the Steam Machine, but won't be touching it until component prices are back in the sane range. I know Valve isn't a charity, but I don't know why they're not willing to at least partially subsidize this device or even take a loss on it during the component crisis, just to build some market share. Then again, the Steam Deck is also a complete ripoff at its current price and they can barely keep them in stock so...
