How do you apply for mod?

Recommended Posts

pls do. that could be a very amusing read

Hey, hey... I'm serious... I could probably think of a few things that you don't even want to admit yourself... Things you keep tucked away in your subconscious... Scary, evil things. I'm not saying that I could write a book on how to become a mod in 3 easy steps, but I could at least give some common sense to people who don't have it. For example - here's one you'd probably agree on:

If you ever just straight up ask to be a mod, how to be a mod, how to submit your application to become a mod or anything that falls within that category, then you will not be one. Ever. Period. Not neccesarily because you asked that question (after all we were all n00bs at some point), but the fact is that if you have to ask - you're not gonna be a mod.

I am sure a lot of people on Neowin.net would want to be moderators, but you all think how much work it takes with it? I came here to enjoy the community not to be a moderator. I will of course except when they would ask me but the only reason I am here is so that I can talk to fellow internet surfers and share my knowledge. :)

Enjoy the community,

Haha... Are you kidding? Cara spammed the OWSG like a mad-man (make that mad-woman) back when it wasn't post count locked. She became a mod. :p

Now, now, now, only for the first few days of my being a Neowin Member...that thread was Addictive! ;)

BTW, the best way to NOT become a Mod is to post in a "How do I become a Mod" thread. ;)

they pick whom they think will do a good job in the position. it helps if you offer money, sex, cars, houses, money, vacation hideaways, money, bitchin computers, money...

i think it also helps if you stop asking to be a mod. your naughty bits will shrink to nothing if you keep bugging them.

;)

asking how to become a mod already should disqualify you. it shows that all you are interested in is power, and not being a good member of a comunity.

I have a long list of people I'd like banned. Where do I apply to be a mod?

p.s. I love replying to MxxCon just because I can undo his courier font. Woo hoo! I've tasted power and I want more!

I've always fought against evil and I've always won.

Oh noes, my bits, my bits...

    • Can confirm, I've built stuff for others and no complaints using their products.
    • Yes I agree, it's annoying. You can now miss tabs unless you point low enough.
