You called him ignorant for stating his opinion? Everyone has different tastes in what they would call 'pretty' art, you shouldn't be called stupid for liking different types of art than others.

Well actually I called him ignorant..Due to his Ugly Assed Remark there Twizted Cam..

You're right we don't have to enjoy others tastes, but it would be a very sad thread if we all came in and started calling those which we do not use or have a taste for...Ugly Assed,Awful,Weird or whatever other Ignorant remark may come to mind...

But Hey..If that's the way it's done here at Neowin, ya I can adapt..I'll just start throwing out some ignorant remarks for all the Desks I don't particularily believe are my taste either.. LOL!!

Should be fun, and it seems to be acceptable behaviour here at Neowin, long time members using the terms, a little under my standards, but like I say..I'll adapt and make an effort to fit in on the Ugly Assed Ignorant Remarks.. No Probs ;)

Oh And AccordingTo You,This Doesn't Make Me Ignorant...Beacuse I Don't Think You Have A Brain....Ya that's it.Now i was always taught, if you don't have anything nice to say about something, saying nothing is better..But since you folks here seem to think it's alright to insult.Ugly Assed,Awful,Stupid Looking,Weird...I'll just go ahead and fit in with the crowd. LOL!!:):) Knight

Hey cool off guys.. all of us have different tastes and preferences for desktops. We are here to post our desktops, not to please others with ours. So let the criticism be creative and not insulting :)

I'll agree with that...Especially since I just got here.After reading these rules....>>

No Flaming, Personal attacks such as flaming, instigating "flame bait", verbal abuse or mocking of members in forum posts are not tolerated at Neowin. Such posts will be deleted on sight and moderated accordingly. If you are a long standing member, act like one. Lead by example and assist other newer members rather then attacking them. We look upon our veteran members to use this opportunity to teach the newer members the appropriate way to use these message boards

I don't see anywhere where it says we should voice our opinion on whether we think someones posts here are Ugly,Ugly Assed,Awful,Weird..Or any other ignorant terminology that one can think of..

But!!.. Being new here and seeing Long Time Members insulting other members this way..I pretty much just figured it was acceptable.. :)

Tell ya the truth...I'm all for having one's own taste in anything/everything and not insulting others because of theirs...Let's hope others can gain that type in intelligence also..

Just trying to fit in..I'll just have to blend in I guess and drop my Class Level many notches to do so ;)

You're 100% right Frease :)

Can't you just use PM for flaming? Then, it's much more fun, 'cuz you can swear! :D

Didn't you know about the Admins reading your PM's?

You can now see why flaming via PM has been non-existant on Neowin for quite sometime now

My desktop, hopefully I'll change it before the month ends - but I doubt it
