Did you even try reading what I said? I explained a possible reason people are acting how they are. The way they are due to corruption. Nobody is expected to shed a tear or outrage for the thousands killed by our healthcare overlords but you sound like you expect them to condemn a single murder? People are reacting to a crappy situation that is consistently a growing powder keg, something you seemingly cannot relate to.

You mentioned Trump, I commented on MAGA in return.

Did you even try reading what I said?  Not shedding a tear for the CEO is fine., he was probably a prick. That wasn't my point. it was the cheerng on of the muderer and the fact that the public are on his side. His face was recognisable. not one person who knew him turned him in. The guy killed a man in cold blood in dayliught on the street, you can see a women was standing right behind him, what if there was a stray bullet and it hit her?  people are celebrating him. I don't see how anyone can see how that is acceptable behavour in a supposed civilized country or anywhere for that matter

Why does everyone have to argue about everythning all the time

Not shedding a tear vs cheering on aren’t that much different. If people are celebrating them, I’d say they are sick of corruption. We all know what happens when they are sick enough of it, people get ugly. People die. People say terrible things and if it doesn’t resolve itself, possible war. That’s never happened anywhere before, right?

As for why people argue, maybe it’s how you are saying it? It pisses me off every time I see someone lump an entire nation of people together as single-minded and guilty.

Maybe in the barbaric wild wild west where loads of people are pushed beyond their limits by corrupt corporations, are packing guns, and quickly resort to them to resolve their problems, but not in the civilised world.  Here, we either use our words, the courts, or maybe in some very extreme cases, violence, but almost never a gun.

Because we grew up watching Batman, Westerns, Die Hard and other media where the lone hero saves the day from an evildoer; most of the time, a greedy capitalist or foreigner. We have been molded into a society that roots for the underdog in the absence of true justice. This feels like justice to many because this CEO had previously managed to "get away" with thousands of deaths as a direct result of his actions facing 0 repercussions.

Public trust of the court system in the United States is lower than it has been in 50 years.

Why would anyone trust the courts to do anything?

Yep, wars and armed conflict have never happened in the past of other civilized countries.

Edit:

What I’m getting at is it’s a wonderful and lovely dream that words solve things violence also does, but we all know that since the beginning of time, humanity resorts to violence when words fail.  While id like to think we can’t go to war or need to resort to violence, the corruption runs deep enough that the country may need to resort to it before it can heal. Words and courts are failing us.

Look at some of the comments on here it has been disgusting.  But trying to tell people here that two wrongs do not make a right falls on deaf ears.

I think the point you're missing is that it's far more than two wrongs. This is the result of a systematic injustice that empowers a for-profit private company to decide who lives and dies.

I am not agreeing with the action taken, but I understand why it was taken and agree that it is an insult to the American people we allow these companies to operate in the way they do.

Neither does one wrong. Offer a solution instead? People are fed up with the corruption and their reactions are an indicator of that.

As I've mentioned before, I don't applaud what happened but I struggle to find sympathy for the situation.

What we're seeing is possibly the beginning of America's French Revolution. A wealthy man making profits off other people's suffering gets shot and the people applaud. And now their government is going to be made up of the wealthiest people in the country, striking down decades of work to line their own pockets while the lower classes suffer because of it.

I would say that I wouldn't be surprised if the guillotine made a comeback. But the Americans have enough guns and ammo to make it unnecessary.

This is a strange and ironic take...  The US govt is already made up of rich people that line their own pockets.  When members of congress have a yearly salary of $175k, but yet their net worth skyrockets into the millions, it's no secret what they're doing.  Corporations and the nation's richest have been funneling them money forever.
You say that the incoming admin striking down decades of work like it's a bad thing.  Clearly the US govt has been corruptly spending (wasting) far too much money and running itself into default, so why should we maintain that path?  The lower class has always suffered and the ever increasing inflation and costs of living have hurt them the most and keeps them down.  Come election time, the left panders for their votes, gets their votes, and then doesn't help them.  Rinse and repeat every 4 years.  The system clearly isn't working.  The waste needs to be eliminated so that the taxpayers aren't p*ssing away money on things that don't benefit them at all.  This is probably the first time that a major govt change will actually benefit not just the rich, but everybody.  Inflation will down and taxes can go down if the spending is under control.  Everybody should be rooting for that...

No there isn't going to be a new Revolution and public executions isn't coming back either.  Not sure why you'd even think that...
This CEO being killed is just another example of a mentally unstable person that needed help or to be locked away.  It's pretty sick that people on the left are celebrating the guy.  First they rooted for the terrorists and now they're rooting for murders.  And they wonder why they lost the election...

What does 90% error rate to provide care mean exactly?

They only pay for 10 % of the claims

"healthy brain" yeah...... any murderer isn't thinking straight to start with, he definitely spent time planning this out and training himself but he still wasn't thinking clearly and slipped up a few times

and that comment was from when this first happened, all the media showed us was something that looked a bit too perfect, then they started showing more and more, so of course this far after the fact you can criticize a comment made at the start of this when we knew just what looked like a paid hit

Kinda

90% error rate means that for claims which were checked by United's AI, 90% of them were incorrectly denied even if they should have been approved. AI wasn't checking every claim, but even as someone who can code well a 90% error rate is irresponsible and dangerous when people's lives are at stake. The real knife twist was that the United CEO who was murdered knew how bad it was and from what I understand actively pushed against fixing it despite people dying.

    • Thanks, Sony and Nintendo, you effectively killed platform-agnostic gaming. Long gone are the days when you could wish to play a specific game on whatever platform you were. Now, you have to buy the hardware just to play that single game. What, you're only interested in THAT game and nothing more? Bad luck, suck it and buy our console.
    • The AI data centers need it more than us so...let them gobble it all up at that price!
    • "CRAZIER than ever!" Crazy Taxi: World Tour is officially coming soon by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe Sega announced it is working on bringing back some of its classic franchises in 2023, and while it has taken some time, the company finally gave fans a look at one of these new projects at the Xbox Games Showcase today, which turned out to be a brand-new Crazy Taxi entry. Watch the debut trailer above, which has snippets of gameplay in between the cinematic bits while blasting a track from The Offspring. Dubbed Crazy Taxi World Tour, this installment is aptly being described as being "CRAZIER than ever!" The director behind the original, Kenji Kanno, is helming this new entry as well, which will come with access to five new cities to drive in, competitive multiplayer modes, a vehicle customization system, and more. Axel is returning as a protagonist as well, but this time a mystery driver is offering him the opportunity to take his adventures to the streets in other countries. This will involve Axel chasing down masked villains that have somehow stolen his taxi, which means even more extreme missions and challenges to overcome. "From transporting passengers at top speed to tackling unique side missions and odd jobs across dynamic maps, there are countless ways to drive crazy and rake in big money," says Sega about this new installment after over 20 years. "Perform outrageous drifts, catch insane air, and drive at crazy speeds across five different cities as you work to deliver passengers and complete a variety of missions and challenges." The studio has even confirmed an in-game Arcade Mode that players will be able to access containing the original games for plenty of nostalgic action. Crazy Taxi: World Tour is currently slated to release sometime in 2027 across PC, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2.
    • This and Crazy Taxi are the two games that interested me the most from this showcase.
    • Good, because the nonstop chattering from the voices in her head made me quit the second game.
