Just saw megalopolis, I liked it. It's weird in a student arty kinda way. Definitely need to be drunk or on something to watch it. It sometimes felt like Coppola realised he's getting on in years and decided to merge all his future films into one. Anywho if you're in the right mood I'd recommend it.. I completely understand the hate for it as it's very odd. Great acting all around

It's self-funded and very much a labour of love for a Coppola film.

It was definitely a labour to watch; it took me 3 separate viewings (about 40 mins each) to get through the film runtime.

The truly best parts of the film are the visual designs (except for a segment where it was meh) and fashion suggestions. The rest is like a gravitas of a musical film without music, a compelling theatrical storyline that changes topics once you're kinda interested to see what's going on (so it leaves you letdown from its potential storyline), conceptual set designs with potential for innovative cinematographic techniques (these segments lack compelling story to keep the viewer entertained or engaged), and all of the acting and script are very average/mediocre/serviceable -- with 1 notable exception: Adam Driver, but since he's the only compelling actor throughout the film it makes for a misplacing of talent.

In other words: DO WATCH IT but whether you're distracted or fully involved with the movie, it doesn't actually matter. It's a high-concept mess that's appreciated for its effort but discouraging for how much doesn't work and needs a new story.

It wasn't a priority to watch but once I start a movie I kinda wanna get it off my watchlist! I think it was during a Monday-Wednesday pre-bedtimes while awaiting Thurs-Sun TV shows to drop that week 😃

i've found i'm on a different spectrum when it comes to movie ratings.

I liked Joker 2 and Gladiator 2. Napoleon was awful though

    • This article does not make sense and it’s very evident, the bug wasn’t confirmed to exist, because the application itself runs on editions of Windows which make it impossible to run Hyper-V VMs on, “Basically, Claude Desktop on Windows spins up a 1.8GB Hyper-V virtual machine if you use Claude Cowork or agent mode even once.”, suggests the bug is caused by something else otherwise it would only happen to users with the capability of running Hyper-V VMs and that’s only if Hyper-V was enabled which is by default not enabled. The true issue is that the author who reported the bug used the incorrect terminology.
    • “To prevent hallucination issues and keep the database clean, the platform uses a multi-agent verification loop to check code quality.” - This absolutely isn’t happening. ”Before the massive rise of LLMs, which tanked its traffic by about 50% over the last couple of years, Stack Overflow was the go-to website for millions of programmers seeking coding solutions.” - It still is trusted, because the community of users, blocked other users from submitting false and misleading answers generated by AI agents that can be convinced something it generated is actually incorrect even if it’s actually correct. The company itself doesn’t know what it wants to be so it keeps trying and failing to introduce AI features to the platform. This effort will also fail, already submitted one successful poison pill, look forward to generating more.
    • Faster? MBP M5 Max, I have 4k video renders running faster than Teams.
    • Completely irrelevant as long as pricing is garbage. With OneDrive I get storage for about $18 / TB for a year. With Proton it's $96. For the record, Google One is around $48, Dropbox $69, iCloud $60. In other words, Proton is the worst value BY FAR. Not to mention with OneDrive I get full desktop and web office suites for 6 people.
