Current postings of MPC / Black Edition

Both new postings from the Software page are being denied downloads (x64)... with the following issue:

I uploaded the portable files and installers for the x64 files for both regular MPC and the BE to Virustotal and only one of them popped hot and only from one engine, so very likely a false positive.

It's possible you have malware elsewhere on your system that is trying to MitM your downloads or infect executable files.  Have you done a full system scan?

Thanks for the links... and no, not a chance of any malware here. I get the sense it's all false, did when I tried and got everything else but the x64.

Windows Security is a curse on my end.. more often than not, the main Security screen shows up black if you try and get to it via the notification area (when you get that notice that the file is being blocked by Defender)... it's a battle I've had since being a beta tester. Only thru Settings can I get to it and it's always a crap shoot anyways.

It's not Neowin's fault by any means.. .this is just a heads up with yet another off the wall issue.
