How to play PokeMMO on ANY Linux handheld via PortMaster! (Knulli, MuOS, ArkOS, Rocknix, spruceOS, AmberELEC)

This is the ULTIMATE tutorial for installing PokeMMO on linux-based handheld gaming devices that are compatible with the following custom firmwares:
• ArkOS, Rocknix, MuOS, Knulli, spruceOS, AmberELEC

Your handheld gaming device MUST support any of the CFWs listed above in order to work as expected (though, there may still be some bugs that need ironing out). Tutorial resources are included below!

 

Important updates/changes: - When coping over the "data" folder contents from the PokeMMO-Client.zip, you should now copy over ALL items (including the shaders folder) to your /share/roms/ports/PokeMMO/ folder. Support has been added so that custom shaders are no longer necessary!

Answer: Yes!

Answer: Check the readme on the "PokeMMO Port for PortMaster" GitHub page for the latest compatibility list.

• I can't connect to my handheld via SMB!
Answer: Make sure both devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
