Lian Li Lancool 216 ARGB & Fan Hub Question

Hello All

Desktop Case is a Lian Li Lancool 216 ARGB Case with Included ARGB & Fan Hub inside the system.       Wondering for next dust clean out coming up soon,  if anyone knows which fan port my 2 160MM front fans should be plugged into to be able to control them in UEFi bios for Fan curves and such.      ((I'm a kinda still newbie with Hardware, but trying to learn slowly))       

Seems i don't have a picture of mine currently on my phone, i thought i did, but i guess i don't at the moment, and way desk is, can't get to that side of the PC case right now

((this forums always been helpful more so than Reddit)) so decided to ask here lol, versus asking on a Reddit area lol

Well, to control it via BIOS/UEFI, you need a 4-pin. Not on the board, however, you can control it with certain software.

That's my understanding.

Doesn't matter where you connect your fans ... Fan 1, Fan 2, Fan 6, etc....doesn't matter one bit.  All fans on that hub will run at the speed of whatever motherboard fan header you've plugged it into.

That first four pin (on the right) is your power (4-pin --> SATA). 

The connector left of it goes to your motherboard fan header.

The correct cables and manual should have come with the case?

Well i'll have to search the boxes for the manual, maybe i missed it or misplaced it somewhere here as usual.     I should have all the cables inside the system though.       Though does cool better than any older system i ever used.    Absolutely no thermal throttling.   

 Definitely picked out a very good airflow oriented case!!

You should be able to connect them to a CHA_(number) port which will be 4-pin, and then set in the BIOS.

Hopefully you have daisy chained the front two, so that you only need to connect it in one place on the motherboard.. then you can setup the fan curve for both fans on that Chassis fan port.

Ok i hope they are daisy chained, if not will get them daisy chained.     as i watched another Youtube video on this case and supposely the front fans sometimes aren't connected to the Included Fan Hub at Factory, so gonna make sure they are on next dust clean out of system definitely this time.     

 May even rewatch that Youtube video on Samsung Smart Tv during the dust clean out so i can see which port that Youtuber connected the 2 fans to lol, and then i should be good i hope

 

Or i can find a Chassis Number port on Motherboard itself, and go from there if need be lol.

Would anyone know by chance regarding the Lian Li Lancool 216 ARGB/Fan hub specifically where the front fans would connect to, to be able to see there RPM in UEFI bios when setting up the fan curves,   i am not a hardware expert, mostly a noob on Hardware still,  trying to learn as much as i can, but its a slow process.

Did get Dust clean out done on system, and Temps are much much better,  even during a Defender scan previously i'd hit 85C or higher at times, today despite RL temp being humid and warmer today a bit,  didn't hardly go over 60C.     So i definitely cleaned system good this time!!

Did the clean out after early afternoon storms ended!!

**Note did not build system myself, had Ibuypower Build my Dream Ryzen Build, normally i don't mention that part as sometimes i feel ashamed that i can't build a whole system myself** 

Even my last system before this one had Local PC shop build that one, it ran ok, but even after getting the upgraded cooler installed they said this should work,    still throttled when doing tasks.  

 

My AMD Never Throttles!!

I also tend to worry alot, just my nature i guess

Oh Ok thank you,   i'll try to trace which one is the front fans and go from there, i forgot i posted on this issue before oopsy.        But they might already be connected right all i know lol.

I've been running Argus Monitor for a few years now, and it just so happens that two years ago, Black Friday (heh..;)), I bought a Lian-Li  LanCool 216 myself, on sale, and when I got it out of the box I noticed it included the ARGB panel, gratis, which was fine with me. I'm not into light shows, but I disconnected each fan from the ARGB panel (panel as shown in your screenshots), and then connected them to whatever 4-pin mboard fan connectors I wanted directly.  And as Argus Monitor supports a number of old and new motherboards, it gave me immediate control of the case fans. I agree that the stock fans are effective and nearly silent! Just thought I'd suggest it as we have the same case...;)
