There is a what are you watching. what are you playing, and a what are you listening too. I have not found a what are you reading so why not make one.

I am reading H.P. Lovecraft's At the Mountains of Madness Deluxe Edition (Manga). Written originally by of course H.P. Lovecraft and the manga is by Gou Tanabe.  Gou is the master of manga horror. Artwork is great so far. It was nominated for the Eisner and Harvey Awards,

Here is the dark horse comics link: https://www.darkhorse.com/Books/3009-552/H-P-Lovecrafts-At-the-Mountains-of-Madness-HC-Deluxe-Edition

I don't know the policy about linking to amazon or any other store.

I tend to prefer me some old school scifi authors, currently working my way through EE 'Doc' Smith's series of Skylark then Lensman novels for the umpteenth time.  He has an... interesting.. writing style, to say the least!. Hardly surprising considering it was written over a century ago, though...

May I suggest Asimov writing as Paul French Lucky Starr series. Pulp Sci Fi at its best. Venus has seas of carbonated water, pirates in the asteroid belt, etc. A fun read.

David Starr, Space Ranger introduces the series' setting and main characters. The novel is set around A.D. 7,000 (five thousand years after the first nuclear bomb, as stated at the beginning), when humanity has founded colonies on the inner planets of the Solar System, as well as spreading to other planetary systems with separate and sometimes hostile governments. The most powerful organization in the Solar System is the Council of Science, which uses scientific expertise and intrepid field agents to counter political and military threats to Earth's government.

Oooh, it's been a minute since I read the David Starr books...  About 23.6 million of them! :p

Asimov is just about my favourite author, and the only one I've ever actually met in person.  Lovely guy.  Had about 3 brains, you know. ;)

Fred Pohl is another great from the pulp magazine days who's unmatched.

    • The FIFA World Cup is not US centric.
    • It’s amusing how Microsoft is pushing IT admins as if this was a major, game-changing update. In reality, it’s just an enablement package that bumps the build number, which is disappointing compared to the more substantial 22H2 and 24H2 releases. Technically, 25H2, 26H1, and the upcoming 26H2 are essentially the same, differing only in support schedules. They could have included the Windows K2 improvements here, but chose not to. The era of Windows being in the backburner continues, and this 26H2 release feels like an afterthought. Shame, Nadella, shame.
    • Microsoft, totally not confusing /s 25H2 - Current for non-Arm based Windows 26H1 - Current for Arm based Windows 26H2 - Only for non Arm Windows
    • After I installed those, my older but capable Win 11 laptop (16GB RAM) reported it as 26H2 26300.8697. Then I installed it on my big laptop (128GB RAM! Hehe sorry), it reported it as 25H2 26220.8690. Ugh. Do I have to switch Insiders channels from Release to Beta?
