What smart light switch do you use?

I've had WeMo light switches for years, and have had little issue with them. Well it looks like the end of support from Belkin is Jan of 2026 from what I've seen. So it's time to look for new switches. After many hours today of looking I keep seeing the recommendation of TP Link Kasa switches, but I also wanted to reach out to you all. What switches do you use at home? How have they been, and how often do they need attention?

I have had them for many years - zero issues with them. But they a bit pricey.

Hello,

I'm not sure if it wise to invest in any TP-Link gear given the "off-again/on-again" debate over them being banned from the U.S. market.

That said, I do not have a lot of experience in this area.  The last time I played around with home automation was with X10 gear in the 1990s, and I didn't find it a very compelling addition to my home.

I use tuya, loads of brands use it and put there own skin on it. You have a choice of using there own app or using tuyas app.  Also it can be linked to home assistant

It would depend on how smart and complex you want to make your system. I also use the Lutron Caseta system but its just 2 wall switches and 2 outlet switches with 2 remote controls. I like the wall switches with the round dot in the middle, even thought the price is extreme, since it set the dot for the lowest light setting. This means top button full on, middle dot lowest and bottom button off.
