I downloaded this version but when it installed it did not create a folder in my Windows 10 Start Menu nor did it replace the Version 8 which I had installed at an earlier date.

Why did this happen? Is there a bug in Version 9?

Two things come to mind:

  • Have you tried uninstalling CrystalDiskMark 8 before installing the newer version?
  • Taking a look on the website, it looks like 9.7.1 was released yesterday. Try installing that (after uninstalling version 8).
