New user on Neowin forums and responding to a (potentially) old post (?necropost?)

Hello Everyone!

I came across this article on your forums searching for Neowin GhostBuster online because I am replacing Mobos and need some device manager purge tool before I start the process:

Its a closed topic (hence the necroing) from 2012 but the fact that Microsoft did this to Neowin back in 2003 is so shocking to me and bone-chilling. Also the link you have in the post is no longer valid (this one is now a dead link http://news.cnet.com/2100-1025-991624.html),
which just goes to the main CNET page but the correct link to the story is this one:

One of the more draconian things I have ever seen Microsoft/ISP do ever. Absolutely shocking. Been a huge fan of Neosmart (and Stardock!) for ages.
