Update:

Ordered 2023 Asus Tuf A16 Ryzen 7 7735HS and Radeon 7700S

((didn't know it was 2023 edition til received it though))

(Model name; FA167NT.A16.R7700)

Arrived today at 12 Noon

Gotta get used to it,  the trackpad is way different than my old HP Omen Gaming Laptop

But overall i like it, and will get used to it, and if need be, i'll plug in an external mouse if i do any games that require a mouse.

I'll use it more tomorrow, and maybe get used to it more--but will keep it, as i dislike returning anything, i'll adapt to it, and it will then suit my needs just fine i'm sure

Well so far liking it alot,   Still need to get it open hopefully successfully on Tuesday and get my spare Samsung 990 Evo Plus 1TB NVMe installed as the Game Drive.        For now temporairly using External M.2 Enclosure with my other Kingston NV2 NVMe 1TB installed in that to serve as the machines extra storage.

Touchpad gonna take me some time to get used to, bit different than my old system.

Neowin Signature be updated once i get around to that shortly here, either on the laptop machine or on the Desktop when i switch later on.

Old Intel I7 7700HQ Laptop i never upgraded at all, as never was able to get it open the entire time i owned it lol.

((that one will be recycled possibly by local PC Shop if they take it for that lol))

Been using PC 2 (Gaming Laptop) since i woke up this morning

(Though still doesn't detect 25H2 via Windows Update)

Update: Ok It runs a little warm when doing some tasks--but i think that is normal.

Might still get a clean install done on it, soon as i'm feeling better

Think my next thing to purchase when i can will be  a Laptop cooling pad with Foam seal, and should be perfect if fits on current desk laptop uses fine

((In the Picture is my old HP Omen Model) but new one is located in same area))

Cooling pad thinking of getting soon as i can

Amazon.com: llano V12 Gaming Laptop Cooling Pad, RGB Laptop Cooler, Laptop Cooling Fan Stand with 5.5 Inch Powerful Turbofan, for 15.6-19in Laptop, Adjustable Speed, Dustproof, 3-Port USB Hub, Black (RGB) : Electronics

Only spot i got to put it right now unforuately

I can try to get a newer desk in the future, and The Cooling pad, and i should be set--and then i can really switch off nights using it or mornings if i don't wanna be at my Main Desktop.

Gaming Streamed from Desktop to Laptop via Steam Remote Play felt like playing locally, no lag, no drop outs with the Wifi or nothing

Why not get a cheap laptop and play on Geforce Now?
granted not all games are available however there are several hundred (thousand?) of titles.

Even paying for Ultimate saves you a ton in the long run in always having latest hardware (or at  the most 1 generation behind)

Well i guess i'm old school, and already purchased The Asus Tuf A16 Gaming Laptop  FA617NT.A16.R7700

So far its working well, still have to find the quiet time to get the 2nd M.2 installed, but overall it runs good

    • I use it by choice but only for specific tasks that I have forgotten and it's quicker to ask then spend time wasted finding a decent answer on Google or coding a certain language. I prefer to use it. I do think that as it gets integrated into everything, when we eventually fully rely on it, I'm talking new gens not older gens like me, that we won't think for ourselves, I mean we will become lazy thinkers, lazy logical answer to problem which will go badly. But if we don't become fully dependant, we might be OK but I don't think personally we are going to be OK, not for the newer generations. Unless they advance in that space to the next level of intelligence where it can work out its own problems and create ideas for itself.
    • Pity the article on MS website gives no indication when said "20%" performance gains will actually be rolled out to users.
    • I just looked on my computer and there are settings and log files for utilities I have never even turned on!
    • O&O ShutUp10 3.1.1104 by Razvan Serea O&O ShutUp10 offers a simple yet effective way to take control of your Windows privacy. It provides access to almost 50 privacy-related tweaks, most of them hidden or not easily accessible to the average computer users. Using a very simple interface, you decide how Windows 10/11 should respect your privacy by deciding which unwanted functions should be deactivated. Using ShutUp10 you can easily disable Windows Defender, turn off telemetry, disable peer-to-peer updates, turn off Wi-Fi Sense, disable automatic Windows updates, turn off and reset Cortana and more. ShutUp10 allows you to create a System Restore point before you apply any changes, so that you can revert your system at any time if you run into problems. O&O ShutUp10 is entirely free and does not have to be installed – it can be simply run directly and immediately on your PC. And it will not install or download retrospectively unwanted or unnecessary software, like so many other programs do these days! O&O ShutUp10 Free and Premium The latest version brings O&O ShutUp10 Premium, expanding the app’s long-standing privacy controls with automatic enforcement of user-defined settings. Instead of manually rechecking options after every Windows update, users can set their preferred privacy configuration once—or apply recommended settings in a single click—and the tool continuously monitors them in the background. If Windows 10 or 11 re-enables disabled features or introduces new data collection paths, Premium restores the chosen settings automatically without user intervention. The free version remains available and fully functional for manual adjustments, offering the same core privacy controls for Windows. However, the Premium tier is aimed at users who want long-term, hands-off protection, adding automatic reapplication after updates, ongoing monitoring, and optional notifications to ensure privacy settings remain consistent over time.
