Hi FlishFun,

As I used the Autopatcher_Dec03, then Autopatcher_Jan04 and I customize language to French and given i'm beta tester for Shifty SlipXP2.

I tried AutoPatcherXP_Feb04_Full.exe.

1) I did download 3 times AutoPatcherXP_Feb04_Full.exe (247 020 Kb) from 3 differents link, by launching it, Igot 261 "Data error inAutopatcher..." see here attached 7-Zip_diagnostic messages.jpg. Infact many files are empty (0 Kb).

BTW, I'm using 7-Zip 3.13 version, I test it again extracting AutoPatcherXP_Jan.exe successfuly. When I "Open inside" AutoPatcherXP_Feb04_Full.exe, I can see all the files with the right size and when I try extracting again I have a Data error... Is there a working link with  A NOT BROKEN FILES???

2) I found another link to download AutoPatcherXP_Feb_Patched.zip (266 755 Kb), this time I could extracting all files without problem, BUT...

As I want customizing language of AutoPatcher-Feb04_full, I do not find any .axp files, AXPFiles folder neither.

How do i customizing language with this version???

Tnx for yr help

coucou

Verify the MD5 sum for the file.

Hi,

@ DsnBehind Tnx for the info, I'm using "RSA MD5 Checksum Test 1.2" utility, I got "77a3691aa3d72a850e3f9ac3fbc4aa20" MD5 sum. What utility and command are you using for ?

This given, still where do I get a working link with a right MD5 sum and not broken files???

As I want customizing language of AutoPatcher-Feb04_full, I do not find any .axp files, AXPFiles folder neither.

How do i customizing language with this version???

Does AutoPatcher-Feb04_full.exe still include AXPFiles? If so, where do i find them?

Regards

coucou

Hi Guys,

You might also want to check through all of the patches and tools included with APXP.

I wouldn't be suprised to find that many of the MS items have a "no redestribution" clause in their download or licence agreements.

In that event, even if they are widely available elsewhere, the copywrite owner can contol who gets to distribute them.

If they are present in APXP, and the owner chooses too, they can take action to prevent further destribution.

Kind Regards

Zed

i guess that means flishy will need to read all the EULAs :p

The part in bold is the only part refering to copies. Now, I only have one copy on my system, and the AutoPatcher is a group of patches used to keep a system up to day. Unless I'm wrong, we're following the (Y)A to a tee. (Y)

There is nothing illegal about the patcher, so I have no idea what copyright laws you're t:blink:about.

    • Hello, Christian Maas' XVI32 is a nice (and very small) hex editor. Speaking of hex editors, many years ago a colleague and I who both worked at Tribal Voice managed to edit a copy of the company's PowWow instant messaging client to make it behave better now that all of its lookup servers and other server-side tech was gone.  The program didn't support NAT (RFC-3022 was introduced in January 2001, the same time Tribal Voice was shuttered), but it still worked okay if you manually set up port-forwarding on your router.  The server at http://powwow.jazy.net/ hosts a copy (usual warnings about downloading and running untrusted code from random internet servers apply). I occasionally use some tools like Funduc Software's Search and Replace and Application Mover when I need to make mass-edits to text-based files or move programs with a hard-coded installation directories, respectively.  When I need to figure out the exact LCD panel inside of a laptop, EnTech Taiwan's Monitor Asset Manager is my go-to tool for that purpose. JD Design's website (now hosted on github.io) has a number of interesting freeware and shareware utilities.  I used to use their TouchPro utility to set the file timestamps on software I was mastering to match its version number (e.g., version 3.00 of a program had all of its files dates set to 3:00AM, and so forth). Karenware has a number of interesting freeware utilities, too. Regards, Aryeh Goretsky
    • I still use HexChat! Not really as ancient as the 1994 AutoCAD above my post, but I have never found anything better to replace it. Yes we still operate an IRC server https://www.neowin.net/irc/ 😛
    • At work we still have a couple of people that use a version of AutoCAD LT purchased in 1994. This predates Windows 95 and works fine on versions of Windows up to XP. Its long since run in an locked down isolated XP VM, accessible via RDP. I did install LibreCAD for them, however they said it was just too different to get to grips with. In all fairness one of them is now 75 and the other is almost 60.
    • On my music making (non internet) PC Sony Acid Pro 7.0 Adobe Audition 2015 Korg Legacy Collection Windows 7 SP1
    • Anyway to download these versions without being on the Experimental builds?
