USB device for a single user

Question

Hi! I’m setting up FlexiHub in a multi-user office and need to make a USB device accessible to only one specific user. I want to ensure that no one else can see or use it. Has anyone tried this kind of setup? How well does it work in practice, and are there any recommended ways to assign USB devices to individual users safely?

Peripheral access management can be done using Ivanti Device and application control on the endpoints assuming Flexihub passes the full Device ID through but it's probably not a particularly cheap bit of software and I'm sure there are other ways!

Edit: Seems it can do it natively https://www.flexihub.com/device-isolation/

You can make a USB device available to a single user so no one else can access it remotely. On the host, log in, open the dashboard, find the device, click Share or Assign to user, enter the user’s Flexihub account or email and confirm. Then the user can log in on their machine and connect. Only the assigned user will see the device, and only one system can use it at a time.
