Microsoft has confirmed that some of the Microsoft 365 services are currently down again. The company confirmed this via its official Microsoft 365 Status X handle as it notes that the Microsoft 365 Admin Center may be down. The tech giant has informed that you can get status updates regarding the progress of the bug under the issue ID "MO1281730". This is rather ironic considering the admin panel itself is not accessible due to the bug and that's where typically bugs and outages are tracked.

The official Microsoft 365 Service Health Status website notes "service degradation" as it says the following:

"Title: Users may be unable to access Microsoft 365 web-based services correctly when using Google Chrome User impact: Users may be unable to access Microsoft 365 web-based services correctly when using Google Chrome. More info: Impacted users may experience Microsoft 365 web apps and portals not rendering as expected when accessed via the Google Chrome browsers. This may include, but is not limited to: - Microsoft 365 admin center failing to load or missing UI elements such as search bars or pages - An inability to open Excel or PowerPoint files through Microsoft 365 web pages - Issues accessing apps such as OneDrive and Planner through the browser Other browsers, including Microsoft Edge, appear to be unaffected. As a workaround, impacted users can use the Microsoft Edge browser. Additionally, desktop based clients are unaffected, and users may be able to leverage these services.

Current status: We are updating the authentication components across various service endpoints to remediate the impact. Action has already been taken on a number of endpoints, and internal testing following these changes is showing improvement. Users may need to refresh the browser page to experience relief. Start time: Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at 7:00 PM UTC Scope of impact: Some users attempting to access Microsoft 365 web-based services via Google Chrome may be impacted. This information may be updated as our investigation continues. Next update by: Thursday, April 16, 2026, at 1:30 PM UTC"

We will update the post once more details are available.
