Two Telltale Batman games and Sunderfolk are free on the Epic Games Store

The Epic Games Store's first mystery giveaway has been revealed to be a double freebie containing Telltale Batman Shadows Edition and Sunderfolk.

The Epic Games Store's mystery giveaways promotion is back as a part of its 2026 Mega Sale, and that means the games that come through should also be higher profile than usual. Just as the mystery timer ran out, the store revealed that a double freebie is now here, and it's for Telltale Batman Shadows Edition and Sunderfolk.

From the duo, The Telltale Batman Shadows Edition is actually two games in one. This includes the 2016-released episodic point-and-click adventure Batman: The Telltale Series, as well as its second season, Batman: The Enemy Within, which launched in 2017. All ten episodes are here with a fresh look thanks to the Shadows Mode, which adds the ability to play the game in a high-contrast black-and-white color scheme, taking cues from classic noir films.

The Gotham-set games follow Bruce Wayne and his escapades as the Caped Crusader, but with twists that let players choose who becomes their villains and allies.

Next, Sunderfolk is for those looking for a cooperative experience. This 1-4 player tactical RPG is touted as an easy-to-pick-up adventure that lets groups go on challenging missions. It offers both online multiplayer and local couch play, where challengers can join in using their phones.

The newly available Telltale Batman Shadows Edition and Sunderfolk giveaways on the Epic Games Store are set to run until May 21, giving PC gamers seven days to claim the latest offer. Once this promotion comes to an end, a new freebie will take its place on the same day, which remains a mystery for now.
