Seb49X
Im just wondering... someone i work with was talking to me about computers and that he is a programmer. fair enough. but he mentioned to me that he made his own antivirus software and other programs using scripting simply in dos mode. No programs or software, manual scripting to make an antivirus? to good to be true?
Evil Dragon
Err... Well, there is a "text editor" type thing in DOS that he could have used to write a script. And there are some DOS compilers, so technically he could have made an entire antivirus program using DOS, however, the likelyhood of someone who programs for a living using DOS to write and compile entire scripts/programs is very low.
