Verisign Installer Popups

A friend of mine is using IE (don't even mention firefox you buncha trolls) and keeps getting verisign popups when he visits Neowin. Has anybody else experienced this? He keeps getting autoredirected to different websites entirely when this happens... he said it's like a popup attack, but he can't get back to the top of the page to see which ad it is... he'll post it if he finds it.

Tell him to update his computer, this problem is ages old now. It's because Verisign allowed their signature to lapse on a couple of things, rendering them invalid. Get his IE updated and you should be fine.
