ozgeek Posted March 23, 2004 Share Posted March 23, 2004 I was like that too. I am hearing impaired and my parents believe that deaf people can't drive. I had to convience them that they are wrong, so I went on my own and bought a copy of the learners book with all the road rules in it. I was on learners for 1 and a half years when finially in July 2002 I got my P licence (provisional). Now I am a pretty good driver with only one minor accident (I hit and ran down my driveway and could not see the fence because the sunshade on the door was foggy and thus hard to see the mirror so I removed it and all is good).
