comment: don't like the JAP and I agree with Opio plus makes it confusing for some ppl. also some scroll bars are all white making it hard to scroll up and down. for example when chaging wallpapers that scroll bar is all white. whats up with that? if this gets fixed i'll be using it till all the brightness gets on my nervous.

Nice work, though I find myself judging it differently given the name. As others have stated, "JAP" is a less than ideal combination to use for the caption buttons. The compact start panel could use some reworking as it's not much use without a way to access programs. Not sure if they are supposed to be this way, but the scrollbars are way too think to be usable.

Visually, it's stunning. The browns work well and are somewhat typical of Japan in terms of earth colors; however, color is an important aspect of design in Japan and as such I'd expect to see some deep reds or green/blues here and there.

oh, no, i love the jap. totally original. i love the compact too. always better to be compact. i was saying that most compact pick the left half of the start menu to keep, and the right half to hide. and you did it the other way around. is that an option that i missed?

well maybe u didnt notice it but i added 2 versions of the userpane and 2 different kinds of caption buttons to get along with ppl who dont like the jap buttons and the compact pane

I don't think you understand. Alternative version or not, using a word with that association is nothing short of offensive.

huh?? whats offensive about what he did?

To most, the word "Jap" is just as offensive as the word "Jew" ... or even "<< racial epithet >>" to describe people from Latin-America and "<< racial epithet >>" to describe African Americans.

Did you never learn about WWII in high school?:

Heck, I'm not even Japanese and the word offended me, just as any other racist word should offend someone. You might not be offended by it and that's fine, but it does offend others.

EDIT: I suggest you read this article - http://modelminority.com/printout292.html

If you people find it so offensive stop whining and don't use the theme, it's as simple as that.

It's not that we find it offense, but the fact that other people who see this theme will find it offensive. Also it's not good for Neowin if people promote the use of racist terms in their XP styles, ne?

And yes, we know he's truly not promoting the racist terms, but it may seem that way for some people.

On-topic: I love the colours of this theme. It's sleek and easy on the eys. Nice job!

    • Microsoft brings Planner Agent to all Microsoft 365 Copilot users by Ivan Jenic Image: Microsoft Microsoft has announced that Planner Agent in Microsoft 365 Copilot is now generally available to all users with a Microsoft 365 Copilot license. Planner Agent is the latest addition in the string of AI features that Microsoft is implementing across virtually all of its products. The agent lets you manage tasks through natural language prompts directly inside Microsoft 365 Copilot. You can create and update tasks, check priorities, and get insights about current entries without leaving the chat interface. The general availability release comes with a handful of new additions on top of what was available during the initial rollout. A new plan picker lets you search and filter your plans by name, then update task names, statuses, due dates, or priorities through the agent. There's also a goals bucket now, which lets you group tasks under specific goals. This builds on the Goals view, a feature that was introduced as part of the broader Planner refresh that rolled out earlier. Image: Microsoft | Planner Agent in Microsoft 365 Copilot All AI-generated plans and tasks are created in draft mode by default, so you can review and approve changes before anything goes through. This is actually a thoughtful safety feature, because trusting AI to handle all your tasks without a human in the loop is usually a recipe for disaster. Having tasks initially saved as drafts is the best possible middle ground. Microsoft also says that not all tasks are executed equally. Simple tasks get processed quickly, while more complex ones, like building a plan from a Word, Excel, or PowerPoint file, are handed to a more capable model. Microsoft says this approach delivers the best performance, but it could also help with usage management, as you won't have to waste tokens on performing simple tasks. Planner Agent is available now across Teams, Loop, SharePoint, and other Microsoft 365 apps for anyone on a Microsoft 365 Copilot subscription.
