This theme is the best that i've ever used. great job!

Just one issue tho--when winxp stacks the icons in the taskbar and I view the stack I can't see the text unless I mouseover it (attached image)

like I said b4, other than this, an AWESOME theme.

I was also wondering where I can get the icons ur using in that screenshot and how to install them?

Just another screenshot of a small bug i found today:

http://home.t-online.de/home/JensUmland/img/screen.jpeg

I hope, that also contra will post here again an tells us, when the pre3 will be out :)

@NyaR: I think, that the black color in the taskbar is perfect. a light blue would be harder to read (in my opinion)

I have a version of this theme with this bug fixed, and it also has the user pic enabled. If you want it, look me up.

I've been sorta working on fixing up this theme a little since the creator seems 2 have abandoned it. I fixed the bug where stacked buttons on the taskbar where white on a white background and didn't show up unless u mouseovered them. I also took a stab at the shellstyle. I'm not sure exactly what contra had in mind, but the way it looked in StyleBuilder and the way it looked in reality were not the same. I thought the one in StyleBuilder was kewler, so I think I did a fair job at making it look that way in the shellstyle. (look at the attached image for my changes/the original). I don't have author permission--I emailed him and never got a response back so I posted neways. I'll take this down if needed.

Also, a few things to remember:

This is the first theme that I have ever edited so I may have screwed something up

It takes me forever 2 figure out color schemes, and I just copied what contra had so some colors (like mouseovers) that he didnt have might look bad

If you use the green version sorry, I didn't "fix" that scheme, but if someone wants it done i'm sure I could do it

And finally, I realize it still needs work, so please post anything and everything thats wrong with it, and ill try 2 fix it.

(comments, suggestions, and even contributions are more than welcome)

Glad u guys like it. I just fixed draXo's problem so that now mouseover'ed links in the menu bar have white text that's easier 2 read. Also, everyone has been complaining about the start button, but it doesn't really bother me. Can sum1 tell me what they don't like about it and maybe even offer a better pic 4 it?

It just needs to be a sharper looking flag (like from WinProNX), or a KDE logo...

Here's WinProNX if you've never seen it before: http://themexp.org/preview.php?mid=4214&ty...inProNX+232.zip

The guy who created it also has the source files on his site free to use so you could get a new flag directly from there.

ah. no. that looks so bad.

Contra is again active! YAY! :)

Contra is gonna work on it again and apparently add some touch-ups after I fix the bugs i'm workin on. After that we will release it  . I figured out the cause of the folder options boxes going nutty--its really not a glitch in this theme, seems like a glitch in winxp 2 me. The transparent color is obeyed everywhere EXCEPT there where it just turns it black... it doesn't understand transparency only in that location. Kinda stupid IMO, hornett was right about the transparent pngs--thanx 4 that tip hornett--so now I know what I NEED 2 do, i just gotta DO it...

    • NVIDIA officially supports Ubuntu, as linked above with the GeForce NOW Hands on I did in collaboration with Paul Hill.
    • TO be clear I am not running linux today, however I keep thinking about it. And I want to make sure there are minimal obstacles if I decide to make that switch in the coming months.
    • Yes, I actually glossed over the Linux part from the OP. You could always go for a 9070 XT and if you really want to play Ray Traced games in the future, GeForce Now is pretty damn good on Linux https://www.neowin.net/news/nvidias-native-geforce-now-app-for-linux-bridges-the-gaming-gap-hands-on/
