Benefits include fixes such as incompatabilities and adding new features to the BIOS such ass support for faster processors. If you're system is running fine now and no problems at all then you shouldn't update. If you don't do it write your motherboard and in essence your computer will be DEAD! You'll have to get another motherboard and if you're competent enough you can get your BIOS replaced for about $10 US but then again don't go thru all that just to test something.. If it's working fine then no need... It wont make your system faster or nothing like that. It's mainly for compatibility. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
