(I live in scotland so something related to scottish / Uk law would be helpful) another out of interest Q - Is it possible to get a "Takedown order" from a court if someone refused to remove information specifically about yourself from there website or wud it be an order jus to remove the content? darksoul Posted April 8, 2004 Share Posted April 8, 2004 it can be a real pain but if something is libel (A false publication, as in writing, print, signs, or pictures, that damages a person's reputation.) you can force someone to remove it and even sue for damages in the US and i would bet most other places. For the most part if it is true then they are covered under free speach. Now if it is an image of you then you would also have a course of action but i am not 100% sure what that would be under.
