PabUK Veteran Posted September 14, 2001 Veteran Share Posted September 14, 2001 I had to restart my computer earlier because XP crashed while trying to run a game. Now whenever I try and boot back into XP, before it even gets to the logon screen a blue screen comes up saying something is wrong with the registry. I cannot tell exactly what it says because it restarts right away. I have access to a Windows 2000 installation on the same system, but do not know how to restore a backup of the registry from it. Can anyone offer advice or help?

PabUK Veteran Posted September 14, 2001 Author Veteran Share Posted September 14, 2001 Yes it was but I don't think that has anything to do with it, there is just a problem with the registry and I need a way to restore a backup of a Windows XP registry from 2000 but I just don't know where to start.
