No sources -- no Vista version.... Unfortunately

If this software is truly dead, and its author burried, and cannot be contacted, then it is a fair game. It should be possible to decompile (or disassemble) it, and develop it further. It is a very small file, so decompiling it should not be a big problem.

Hi people of neowin,

I'm new on here and hope you guys like new comers and I'll introduce me in the right section later.

I used LClock and I love it, but recently I changed my windows x32bit to x64bit, and Lclcok doesn't work. Is there any version for x64bit? Thanks!

Hey, LClock starts on boot, but then it disappears after all my programs start.

I have it added to my startup folder/registry, deleting it off the registry then readding it, reintalled, deleted .ini files; nothing worked.

To be exact, I ran all the programs i do alongside lclock, but I switched firewalls from Norton to Comodo but stopped using Comodo immediately because of the problems it caused, so it has broken LClock. I now run ZoneAlarm but this problem was happening before I had installed ZoneAlarm.

I run my printer monitor, Live Messenger, Yahoo! Widgets, a calendar program, Mobile Syncing program, AVG, Firefox preloader, Object Dock, ZoneAlarm and PS Tray Factory. Windows XP themed; but as I said, I had run LClock with no issue beforehand, so I chock it down to Comodo, also it clashed with some other programs of mine.

Some assistance would be fantastic thanks.

What made Microsoft abandon using this new style of clock as seen in the original Longhorn build of Vista and decide to carry on using the crap basic version they've continued to use for the past gawd knows how many years?

Who knows, maybe it's back in Windows 7

Beware guys, the calendar is not to be trusted!

Currently it is Monday 31 August, but when I open the calendar, the date "31" is shown as Tuesday!!!

I PM'd the author through this forum, but haven't had a reply.

I have never had any problem with the calendar.

This topic is now closed to further replies.

    • Along with that and very unfortunate for Linux, the AI boom/tariffs/global supply chain instability really destroyed any chances of it getting a decent chunk of market share. By all accounts, if a Steam Deck was still available for $399 (with tons of alternatives releasing at $500-$800 - instead of $1500+ now) and the Steam Machine was out there for $499, I think a lot of people WOULD have been willing to try SteamOS and switch away from Windows. But yeah, with the crazy jacked up prices now, people have to make safe bets with their money.
    • Neowin hasn't been covering the Ladybird browser but it has been posted about on a lot of tech and Linux/open source sites. I have been following the effort myself for almost a year now. Cloudflare and Proton are among their sponsors. You can read the why here--> https://ladybird.org/#about
    • That's really the user's problem, not the developers. It's not like the Windows 10 EOL was a surprise. Once a product goes out of support, you have to understand YOU are owning the risk of running it - the rest of the world will move on, maybe you'll be OK, maybe you'll be OK for a while, maybe you'll have an issue.... But you can't expect devs to write or certify software for dead operating systems.
    • Not mentioned in this blog post is that Linux has now dropped for 2 months in a row. At a hight of 5.33% in March, then 4.52% in April and now 3.99% in May. I suspect the end of Windows 10 got a bunch of people to try Linux, fueled by all the Microsoft hate, and rabid social media push of that....and now they are going back to Windows 11 because of the normal Linux issues. The vast majority of PC gamers want to use their computers to game and not trouble shoot why a game wont work, or half work.
