Trajik 2600
Image Preview (themexp.org) is there any way to make a flat shape follow a path or NURBs curve? I've got a lot of ideas in my head that I can't quite pull off until I understand how to do this. Thanks!
0 Trajik 2600
Got a reply from the creator. I'll edit this post again if I have any clarifying to do: Basicly what you do, is to create a sinous path using a spline (helix is a good and easy way to do it). Then, just create a long cylinder, with a lot of segments so it wont get 'edgy'. The cylinder should be as long as the path, a bit longer if possible. Then just apply path deform to the cylinder (go to the modifier list, at 'P' you will find Path Deform), after you applied you'll have a button in the object modifier properties, caller 'apply path', click there, then select the spline. and there you go. After that you might want to copy the same cylinder to different xy positions and change it's radius.
