in task manager, just end explorer.exe, replace it, wait a second, click cancel, then click yes. then do a run>explorer.exe and that's taken care of. for shell32.dll, just rename it to shell32.dll.bak, wait a second, click cancel, click yes, and paste the new one in, wait a second, click cancel, click yes. then just restart explorer like above. for both of these to work though, you need the backup files for shell32 and explorer that are located in X:windowssystem32dllcache.

didnt work  my shell32.dll in system32 and system32dllcache have been changed, but when i run explorer.exe again, it was just the default toolbar bitmaps

aleni: Have you tried that Inuse.exe from MS? It's supposed to replace files that are in use. Doesn't work for me, but I might be doing something wrong.

I'de be careful how you say that. You're gonna have a buttload of newbs downloading linux because they think that you can run OS X with it, and alot of those newbs are gonna PM you to death.
