blackcloud, guess you might be using overcompressed jpg's or some other compressed format try using maximum quality when converting the image to jpg.

how do you guys make your screen shots so clear.. mine are all blurry :(

photoshop, save for web, jpeg, I try to keep it at 85 quality or higher.

you can see the size in the lower left corner as you play with it. the blur is good so smooth it out if you have to use a ****ty quality.

so yeah...

I'm hungry... hey you people, go find that webview **** in XP. Tell me what system files contain it. :)

hit print screen, open photshop, hit ctrl-n, enter, ctrl-v. to save it as a .jpg, you must flatten the image first, so click Layer, then flatten image (near bottom of list).

Use the "Print Screen" key to screenshot, then open Photoshop. Do a File -> New, and the image should be already set to the size or your screen. Create the image and the select Edit -> Paste, and you have your screenshot.

are you saving it as a .jpg? i know you went over this already, but just to make sure, what quality are you saving the image as (num between 1 - 10)?

one thing to keep in mind also is that Photoshop might dispay the image at 66% -zoom. to see it at 100%, hold down ctrl and space (your cursor will show a little plus sign) and click on the image to zoom in.

it shouldn't make a difference. did you try the "zoom in"?

also, are you just viewing it in photoshop, or have you tried opening it in the microsoft image viewer?

at the quality (8) you are using, it should look great..i save mine at a 6, and it seems to look ok to me. no matter where you view it, just make sure it's showing you the image full size, 100%

if you want, e-mail the image to me and i'll take a look

mail
