I've had nothing but problems with DT, causes me and plenty of others to UE at random, even on a fresh install. I've gotten along just fine without DT and all the severs I play on do not require it. I still suggest people do download the community patch, as it has UE explot fixes and stuff, and is seperate from DT (I just mentioned them both in one post, no big correlation). Btw, have you tried the UE fix scripts before using DT? I've no idea if that would help. I just have to post this: I'm downloading T1 from that mirror at 270 kb/s. It's only taking 10 minutes overall to get the game. Awesome. Edit: Yes, slashdot article says there's a bt right here for Tribes 2.: http://www.filerush.com/download.php?target=tribes2_gsi.exe I see none for Tribes 1, but it's only 150 mb or so compressed Edit 2: I heard that while the free Tribes 2 comes fully patched, Tribes 1 is only patched to 1.8, and not 1.11. In order to get it, goto fileplanet.com and register if you do not already have a fileplanet/gamespy ID. Then, login. Then, proceed to http://www.fileplanet.com/promotions/tribes2_cgw/ and enter your information exactly as you did when you registered on fileplanet/gamespy. You'll go through one of them bot prevention things, with the letters and odd patterns that you have to type in to verify you are human. If you did this correctly, your CD key should both show on the page, and be emailed to you. As planettribes.com is saying: "Not receiving your Tribes 2 key? Make sure to login to FilePlanet with your GameSpy ID BEFORE filling out the form. Then fill out the form using the same information you used for your GameSpy ID.
